Vermiculite with Black Tourmaline from Erongo, Namibia is a unique and visually textured mineral combination, prized for its contrast and natural formation. The vermiculite forms in layered, expandable sheets with a bronze to golden-brown tone, giving the specimen a rich, earthy appearance and a distinctive flaky structure.
Rising through or embedded within this matrix, black tourmaline (schorl) appears as elongated, vertically striated crystals with a deep black color and subtle luster. The sharp, solid form of the tourmaline contrasts beautifully with the softer, layered look of the vermiculite.
Specimens from the Erongo region are well-known for their aesthetic balance and mineral diversity, often presenting clean crystal formations and harmonious composition. This combination makes each piece both display-worthy and highly collectible.
